Hello Natalie! In a Lean Culture, Management is expected to provide the basic understandings and tools for continuous improvement and teamwork efficiency. Tools such as strategical planning (Hoshin Kanri) and Canvas allow the organization to deconstruct goals and ideas and provide a path for organized teamwork. Lean Management thus is the core tool of communication, organization, planning, and analysis of all the tasks, processes, and results in an organization.
Clear goals, simple steps, and a common goal will also help rebuild trust towards administration. And while these tools are the basic for management, a well-formed team specializes in knowing their process and improving it. Teams oversee a deeper knowledge of the nitty gritty of each process. A deeper understanding of value stream maps and action. Eliminating re-work, excessive and unnecessary movement, and dead ends. These steps require a full commitment of the administration to understand and participate in setting and fulfilling the goals, providing formation, resources, and a mindset eager to learn and improve continuously.
